My Take on Ant-Man Published on The Good Man Project

We each have our unique perspective on life. Our World View. It’s one reason witnesses to a special event or crime scene–or movie–will each give a slightly or sometimes totally different recount. How we experience movies is no different.

When my boyfriend invited me to see the matinee showing of Ant-Man, I was thrilled to have an opportunity to escape the Central Illinois summer heat. I wasn’t familiar with the movie, though, and being that my boyfriend and I have such different tastes in movies, I figured I had better Google it, to see if I would be able to tolerate it or not. I was glad to see the PG-13 rating and very good reviews.

Off to chill out, I went.

It wasn’t long before I noticed the plot and character development surrounded real-life father-daughter relationship dynamics. Of course, the superhero responses to those dynamics were all in fantastic fun. Still, my focus was on the relationships, and I wrote about it for The Good Men Project.
